The Sinatra Music Society was founded in 1955 and is an independent non-profit making organisation, dedicated to one aim; the deeper understanding and greater enjoyment of the best in popular music synonymous with the name FRANK SINATRA.
S.M.S.(as it is generally known) is the largest quality popular music organisation in the U.K. and does not devote itself to one entertainer or group, even though the person who lent his name to the Society was a legend in his own time.
The Society has an international membership and readership and we are particularly proud of our colour fronted 36 page quarterly magazine, each issue containing Sinatra and other music related material, a letters page, a section for Members to advertise to buy and sell and reports from the Secretaries of our 6 Branches throughout the U.K.
Each month Members meet for musical programmes and social events arranged by local Committees at the Branches, the full address of which are given in the magazine.
There is a Sinatra Music Society Convention each October when we get together for the Annual General Meeting. There are also stalls where you can buy L.P’s., C.D’s, D.V.D’s etc. and meet others from different parts of the country, with a concert in the afternoon to finish off the day.
S.M.S. celebrated its 55th Anniversary in 2010 and is looking forward to a great future, so why not join us. The annual fee for 4 quarterly magazines is (including spouse) £15.00 (U.K.) and £23.00 U.S.A. equivalent, which includes postage. Please contact us using the ‘contact us’ page for further details.
